After all the events at Whitney + Josh’s reception, we went outside for some fresh air and intimate sunset photos. Matt came with me to help set up the lights. I posed them, got my settings all how I wanted, then began to encourage some genuine emotion by saying, “Have a moment and enjoy each other as if we weren’t here.” Normally my prompts are better, Matt quickly picked up on it and started teasing me about it because I was standing there, lights flashing, and camera in their face. Mimicking me, he put his camera and light real close to them, stared into Josh’s eyes, and said, “just have a moment!” Josh and Whitney both started laughing hysterically.

It may not have been the moment I envisioned but it sure turned out cute and the couple absolutely loves the photos and this light-hearted memory from their day.
